Death

All but Death, can be Adjusted --
Dynasties repaired --
Systems -- settled in their Sockets --
Citadels -- dissolved --
Wastes of Lives -- resown with Colors
By Succeeding Springs --
Death -- unto itself -- Exception --
Is exempt from Change --

These pictures are of an Indian Burial ground in Superior, WI on the south shore. The items pictured are on the top of the grave stones and they were put there over Columbus Day 2009 and I took the pictures in March. I took a roll of black and white film when these items were first put out, and they hadn't moved by the time I went back.

Roots

Trees are amazing things to me. They can float in the ocean for years, they can withstand powerful storms, and they can create such a delicate thing as paper. In northern WI and MN, I traveled to many tourist filled areas. The thing that stuck out the most to me were not just the trees, but their roots. Vulnerable and exposed, they seemed to travel across the ground trying to catch something. These roots were at Gooseberry Falls.

Dragonflies

I got a Canon Rebel XTi Digital camera with a micro lens and was actually frustrated with my purchase. Then one day, basking in the beautiful sun by the pool, this dragonfly got stuck in the pool and I saved it and let it dry off. He took his time to let the wind, and his own little hands, dry him off. He was a great model :)

Early Darkroom Pictures

I love being in the darkroom. It's almost like therapy. Even though it can bring up huge rages in me, it teaches me to be patient. These pictures are from my high school photography experience.

Cheers to Pictures :)

We'll see how well I do at this thing ;)
I'll start my blog with a photo excursion that I took with my best friend, Melissa. During this shoot, we were in Downtown Minneapolis and I used a Nikon D40X. I've never been a fan of portrait photography, so it's nice to be able to do it with a friend :)
